Woven Hand - Consider The Birds review
by Arnold Kant
And the earth was formless and empty. And the heavens darkened. And there was a haze over the waters, and from the haze rose a preacher, wrapped in a black garment, and his countenance was grim. For he had come to proclaim what was written: "Hear the word of the Lord, you Israelites, because the Lord has a charge to bring against you who live in the land: 'There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land. There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. Because of this the land mourns, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field and the birds of the air and the fish of the sea are dying.'" (Hosea 4: 1-3). And David Eugene Edwards, servant of God, who was given the strength of 16 horses - for God the Lord pleased to do so in his infinite wisdom -, gathered four stalwart men, took up all kinds of apparatus - some with skins, some with thin strings, some with thick strings, some with black and white keys - and set forth, to preach the word of the Lord, that his lament is to be a mirror for the foolish and faithless people for their own outrageous acts. And David Eugene Edwards, servant of God, started to sing with a formidable tongue, and the four men around him handled their strange devices. And a great sense of amazement came over the multitude of bystanders, and each one was deeply stirred by the lustre of this appearance, and each one lowered his head and went home. And not only God saw that it was good. |
