Woven Hand were in town last Friday, playing as part of a big university party, which also featured other bands, DJ's, art installations and readings. WH played the main room at midnight, which was filled with some fans up front, but mostly with students who had no idea who was playing. Nevertheless a good set, at least until the last song of the regular set, when a guy, who appeared to be totally stoned, started pushing one of the monitors closer and closer towards Mr. Edwards and on top of his effect pedals, until a few other fans dragged him away and put the speaker back in place. He then tried to start a fight with the person who pulled him away, but was held back by other people up front. After finishing the song, the band left the stage and, despite the audience clapping and demanding an encore for a full five minutes, did not return to play an encore.
