26-02-2004:

  • The rumoured New York City show has now been confirmed. On 10 April, 16 Horsepower will play the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan, the venue they played in February 2001 on their last visit to New York. The National is the support act on this date.

  • 24-02-2004:
  • Three more shows have been added to the US tourschedule. The jaunt will start with a hometown show, as is the custom, at the Gothic Theatre on 3 April. 16hp will also play Chicago and Cleveland.

    • 03-04-2004: Gothic Theatre, Englewood, CO (USA)
    • 07-04-2004: Abbey Pub, Chicago, IL (USA)
    • 08-04-2004: Grog Shop, Cleveland Heights, OH (USA)

    The support acts for this tour still have to be annouced, with the exception of Philadelpia where The National will open the show. The National may open another show too in Gotham but that gig is still unconfirmed as is a possible venue change in the city of Brotherly Love. We'll inform you about that and other news regarding the tour when it becomes "official".

  • 18-02-2004:
  • A second US 16 Horsepower show has been announced. On Friday 9 April 2004, 16hp will play the Philadelphia NXNW. More dates to follow.


  • 01-02-2004:
  • For the first time since February 2001, 16 Horsepower will play a US Show beyond the Denver/Boulder city limits. On 6 April 2004, 16hp is scheduled to play the Fine Line Music Café in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This date could be part of a short tour. There are preliminary plans for 16hp to do a short run of dates in the U.S. If this run were to happen it would occur during the first two weeks of April. We'll keep you posted.


  • 12-01-2004:
  • The documentary Searching For The Wrong-Eyed Jesus (see Horsemouth 05-12-03) will not only be shown on the big screen, but on the small screen too. In The Netherlands anyway. From 26 February 2004, the movie will be shown in 15 cinemas as part of the Docuzone programme. Go to the Docuzone website for the participating movie theaters.

    But that was old news. The new news is that Dutch TV station VPRO has acquired the movie and will broadcast it. At present it is still unknown when VPRO will show the movie.
