Many of the songs sounded different from the record version, which is always nice. I particularly noticed the version of Strawfoot with Elin playing the xylophone, and it sounds just perfect that way. Really good job of Elin. Speaking of Elin, she had chewing gum, not during the whole show, but she had :-) And what a shame that you can hardly hear her playing or singing. That would have been so great. I looked at what she played to try to imagine, but sometimes you just see her playing and there's no way you can hear anything. Hope this will be better for next shows... The same for Steve's guitar, which we hardly heard on Low Estate, Poor Mouth, ...
That's a real shame, I don't know who is to blame for that but there was really something missing. On Cinder Alley for instance, Elin is doing the intro alone and then the others come in so you hear her during the intro. But during her solo it's really hard to figure out exactly what she plays...

I also think that the show was too short... will they change it soon? 2 songs of LE is not a lot, I'm sure there is some room for other songs of this album. They could also play Just Like Birds, Haw...

But anyway the new versions of the songs are really cool :-) I think of Poor Mouth and it's great finish for instance, or of Silver Saddle (a real killer that I now play with my guitar...) For Heaven's Sake is great for a finish, and the set is generally really well built (except for the length). Oh, I almost forgot : laughed when David said "thanx for clapping... you don't have to clap if you don't want to"

It was impressive as always, even though the REM fan right next to me prevented me from being completely "into" the show (screaming at every beginning and end of songs, which is kind of annoying :-( ). But anyway, the show was great and the band played very well (noticed one small mistake of DEE on Splinters, but that's all).
